Senior Night Details

Tomorrow, February 1 will be against Hollidaysburg and is SENIOR NIGHT.

The meet starts at 7:15 pm with the bus leaving promptly at 5:30 from the high school.

ALL seniors will be acknowledged with their parents during the break.

Seniors should wear their warm-ups when they are walking with their parents as a photo will be taken!

The parents of seniors will have two seats reserved for them this evening and will not need to pay admission.

We will have cake to celebrate at the end of the meet. Anyone interested in helping decorate can arrive early.

Season-Ending Pasta/Pizza Party

PASTA/PIZZA PARTY Wednesday, February 7 – Families the team has set a date for the 2nd pasta/pizza party of the season!

The Pasta party will be held at the Albertelli’s house at 900 Parkview Drive. We will eat around 7:00 pm and we will finish up around 9:00 with it being a school night – You can start arriving around 6:30 p.m.

The captains are asking if the groups can bring the following:

  • Freshman: Drinks
  • Sophomores: Desserts
  • Juniors: Side Dish (ie: appetizers: Veggies, Dips)
  • Seniors: Main Dish – (pizza, pasta, mac and cheese, etc.)

Please know the above is a suggestion from what has been done in past years… anything is appreciated so if your son or daughter likes something and wants to bring some of that dish and some to share with their teammates that would be great! Also, please don’t send too much food! With everyone bringing something there is always plenty.

For any new swim team families, this is an informal event where we have our downstairs a large game room that the kids can play pool, play a variety of arcade games, etc. and just bond. Both my husband and I will be home and the kids will be supervised. Details and directions should have been received via email.

If you didn’t receive the email with this information, please contact Tammy.

Final Meet of the Season

Thursday, February 8 will be our last meet of the season.

We will be hosting Huntingdon at UPJ. The meet will start at 7:15 with the bus leaving promptly at 5:30 p.m.

This will be the last chance to qualify for districts.

All district qualifiers will be notified by the Coaches and will continue to practice until the District meet at Penn State on March 2 and 3rd. Coaches will have more details for the swimmers and once we receive a list of qualifiers, we will be updating details and events.

Banquet Update

The swim team banquet is set for March 25 at Sunnehanna starting at 1:00 p.m.

Marie Kalinyak, banquet chair, will be at both upcoming home meets so you may give her your check and information if you desire or they can be mailed.

Please remember, swimmers who are coming without a guest still must RSVP even though there is no payment. An RSVP is needed for an accurate head count.

Also, if you are interested in helping decorate for the banquet, you may let Marie know as well!

Photos Needed for Slideshow at Banquet

If anyone has photos of swimmers they would like to share for the banquet slideshow, please forward them to Tammy who will be doing the slideshow this year.

You can give them on a thumb drive to Nick (thumb drive will be returned, just make certain it is marked) or you may send them to Tammy as well via email etc.
